Iranians have held yet another rally in the country's capital in condemnation of Saudi Arabia's aggression against Yemen, Press TV reported.

The protest saw students and teachers gathering in front of the United Nations headquarters in Tehran and urging international organizations to act in order to stop the killing of innocent civilians.

"The killing of children in Yemen should be condemned," shouted protesters.

"In the demonstration, we have tried to show our growing discontent to the world and to support the defenseless people in Islamic countries," said one female student.

People in Iran have staged several protest rallies against the Saudi onslaught that has left nearly 2,700 people dead since March 26.

On Saturday, students also rallied in front of the Saudi Embassy in Tehran, calling for it to be shut down.

Saudi Arabia started military aggression against Yemen, without a UN mandate, in a bid to restore power to fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who is a close ally of Riyadh.

The humanitarian situation in Yemen is rapidly deteriorating. Many international aid organizations have sought clearances to dispatch medical and other humanitarian supplies by air and sea to civilians in need.

Iran has offered a four-point peace initiative to resolve the country's crisis. The provisions stipulated in the plan comprise cessation of all foreign military attacks in Yemen, swift transference of humanitarian aides, resumption of national-Yemeni talks, and formation of comprehensive unity government.
