Britain remained committed to talks with Iran on its nuclear program, British Prime Minister David Cameron said on a tour of the Middle East, Iran Daily reported.
"Britain remains committed to talking with Iran, but we will continue to apply pressure. We will not be taken for a ride," Cameron said.
The two-day talks of representatives of the so-called 5+1 group (Russia, China, USA, France, Britain and Germany) with Iran to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue were held in Istanbul in the end of January.
Catherine Ashton said that Iran and six world powers ended talks in Istanbul without significant progress.
The U.S. and other Western countries accuse Iran of developing nuclear weapons under cover of peaceful nuclear energy program. Tehran says its nuclear program is peaceful and reiterates that the other countries must respect its "nuclear rights" and that its enrichment activities are not "negotiable."
The UN Security Council has passed three sets of sanctions against Iran so far over its refusal to halt nuclear enrichment activities.
