Four civilians were killed Wednesday in an airstrike by a US drone in eastern Yemen, dpa quoted local media as reporting.
A local worker and three foreigners were killed in the strike on a house in the area of Wadi al-Ain in the province of Hadramaut province, said the independent Yemeni website Mareb Press.
The attack comes shortly before parliament is to question on Saturday Interior Minister Abdul-Qadir Qahtan over deadly US raids targeting suspected al-Qaeda insurgents in the country, according to the report.
A strike in central Baida province on Sunday reportedly killed nine civilians, triggering condemnations from political parties and rights activists.
The government, which has been pursuing a high-profile security campaign against suspected militants since April, is believed to have allowed US drones to participate.
