At least six people were killed and two others injured in a U.S. drone strike launched in Pakistan 's northwestern tribal region of North Waziristan on Monday night, Xinhua reported.
According to the reports, a U.S. unmanned aircraft fired two missiles at a compound in Zoi Nari area of Shawal valley of North Waziristan, Pakistan's restive tribal region bordering Afghanistan. The strike completely devastated the compound.
Local residents of the area rushed to the site and pulled out the bodies and injured from the debris of the collapsed building.
Identities of the killed and wounded persons have not been known yet.
On Saturday, a U.S. drone attacked a house in the same valley that killed at least five people and left two others injured.
Monday's strike is the eighth of its kind in the tribal areas of Pakistan since the beginning of this year.
To date, at least 51 people have reportedly been killed and many others injured in such strikes.
