BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. The Money Supply Rate (М2) as of May 1 2023 increased in Azerbaijan by 5.9 billion manat ($3.4 billion), or 24.67 percent in comparison with the same period last year growing from 24.2 billion manat ($14.2 billion) to 30.1 billion manat ($17.7 billion), Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
According to the CBA, the cash supply in circulation (M0) increased by 3 billion manat or $1.7 billion (28.33 percent), over the year increasing from 10.8 billion ($6.3 billion) to 13.9 billion manat ($8.1 bi8llion), while the broad money supply (M3) rose by 5.5 billion manat or $3.2 billion (15.54 percent) to 41.1 billion manat ($24.1 billion) against 35.6 billion manat ($20.9 billion) a year earlier.
The transaction money (M1) per year increased by 4.9 billion manat or $2.8 billion (24.67 percent), growing from 20.7 billion ($12.1 billion) to 25.7 billion manat ($15.1 billion).
