Kazakhstan increased the steel, copper, aluminum and other metallurgical output in January-November 2016, said the Kazakh Statistics Committee.
Production of crude steel increased by 10.6 percent to 3.89 million tons, while production of flat rolled steel rose by 15.3 percent to 2.65 million tons.
Production of unprocessed zinc increased by 0.5 percent to hit 297,716 tons.
Refined copper production increased by 3.7 percent to 371,386 tons in January-November 2016 as compared to the same period of 2015.
Production of raw aluminum has increased by 4.9 percent to 1.6 million tons.
Production of ferroalloys has increased by 6.8 percent to 1.66 million tons.
Iron ore production in Kazakhstan in the reporting period decreased by 6.2 percent compared to the same period of 2015 – to 32.52 million tons.
Copper ore production increased by 92.5 percent to 69.95 million tons.
