The ambassador of Kazakhstan to China Shakhrat Nuryshev and the chairman of the board of China Construction Bank Tian Guoli discussed the opening of a branch of the bank in Kazakhstan.
“Kazakhstan has a huge potential, being an important link in the implementation of the Economic belt of the Silk Road initiative. Our bank is ready to take an active part in the implementation of projects and investing in the economy of the country,” said Guoli, Kazakh media outlets reported.
The parties have also discussed issues of cooperation between the financial structures of Kazakhstan and China Construction Bank.
Kazakh ambassador, in turn, stressed the importance of Chinese financial institutions in combining Kazakhstan’s “Nurly Zhol” new economic policy and the Chinese "One Belt, One Road" initiative, as well as in the implementation of 51 projects worth $28 billion under the Industrialization and Investment Program between the two countries.
China Construction Bank was founded in 1954 in Beijing. The Bank provides such financial services as lending, mortgage lending, insurance, savings accounts, credit card transactions and currency transactions.
In 2017, the bank ranked 2nd in the "Forbes Global 2000" international rating and 28th in the "Fortune Global 500" rating.
