Kazakhstan implementing poultry farm, greenhouse projects in Mangistau region

Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Askar Mamin made a working trip to the Mangistau region, Trend reports referring to the local media.

According to the media, during the trip, Mamin has got acquainted with the implementation of investment projects in the agro-industrial complex, transport, tourism, as well as the progress of vaccination of the population

In the region’s Tupkaragan district, the government’s head visited Aktau Agro LLP poultry farm commissioned in April this year. The enterprise consists of an incubator shop, a production complex, and a slaughterhouse with a capacity of 5,000 tons of chicken per year,” the media said. “The poultry farm will provide 50 percent of the needs of the domestic market of the Mangistau region for poultry meat. The first batch of products is planned to be delivered to trade counters in the region at the end of June this year.”

Totally, 5.7 billion tenge ($11 million) were invested and over 90 permanent jobs were opened at the enterprise.

In Munaily district, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the construction project of a greenhouse complex of Aktau Green House LLP on an area of ​​85 hectares. The project is being implemented in 2 stages. The volume of investments at the first stage will be 26 billion tenge ($61 million).

By December of this year, over 180 jobs will be opened at the enterprise, and the production volume will amount to 8,000 tons of vegetables per year. At the second stage - by the end of 2022 - the number of jobs will be increased to 430, and the capacity of the greenhouse complex - up to 13,000 tons of products.
