BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4. Passenger car manufacturing of Iran Khodro Industrial Group (IKCO) decreased by 25.9 percent, in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, reads the report of information service (codal.ir) under the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran, Trend reports.
According to the report, Iran Khodro manufactured a total of 25,041 passenger cars during March 21 through April 20, 2022, while during March 21 through April 20, 2021 the figure stood at 33,819 cars.
Within the 1st month of current Iranian year, the Iran Khodro manufactured 17,368 units of Peugeot, 3,188 units of Samand, 1,698 units of Dena, 1,772 units of Runna, 534 units of Haima, 477 units of Tara, as well as 4 pick-ups.
Three giant Iranian automakers (Iran Khodro, Saipa, and Pars Khodro) manufactured a total of 45,396 cars in the first month, which is a decrease of 29.3 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
So, these companies had manufactured 64,279 cars in the first month last Iranian year.
