BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 18. The volume of oil extraction in Kazakhstan amounted to 43 million tons from January through June 2022, which is 1.3 percent more than during the same months of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Industrial manufacturing in the country increased by 3.8 percent compared to the reporting period of 2021.

Thus, the manufacturing of copper ore amounted to 64.4 million tons, which is 2.4 percent more compared to the reporting months of 2021. Manufacturing of petrol amounted to 2.5 million tons (increase of 10.6 percent compared to the same period of 2021).

Manufacturing of Portland cement was 5.9 million tons, which is 0.2 percent more than during the same period of 2021. Manufacturing of metal constructions was 38,000 tons (increase by 12.7 percent), of electricity to 56.9 billion kWh (decrease by 1.2 percent).

The value of products manufactured in Kazakhstan stood at 23.8 trillion tenge ($49.8 billion) over six months of 2022, of which 11.6 trillion tenge ($24.2 billion) accounted for the mining industry, and 9.8 trillion tenge ($20.6 billion) for manufacturing.

Production of crude oil increased by 1.3 percent, of natural gas by 2.7 percent, beverages by 12 percent, tobacco products by 15.2 percent, rubber and plastic products by 11.4 percent, pharmaceuticals by 4.9 percent and other non-metallic mineral products by 3 percent.
