BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 8. Iran’s exports of oil and non-oil products from the western ports of Hormozgan Province (southern Iran), amounted to over 3.8 million tons during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2022), an official of Hormozgan Province Ports and Maritime Department Morteza Salari said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry Roads and Urban Development.
“In 7 months, 2.45 million tons of products were loaded and unloaded in western ports of the province via cabotage, which is an increase of 17 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the official noted.
Salari also added that more than 195,000 tons of cargo were transited from the western ports of the province in 7 months. Various cars accounted for main part of the cargo transit from the mentioned ports.
According to him, a total of 89,046 cars were transited from the western ports of the Hormozgan Province in 7 months. The cars were mainly transited to Iraq and Central Asian countries.
Salari also said that Iran's Charak, Siri, Lavan, Bandar Lengeh ports have the leading share in the export of oil and non-oil products in the west of Hormozgan Province.
