Kazakhstan looks to start exporting RON-92, RON-95 fuel

Due to the proficit of RON-92 and RON-95 fuel by 20-30 percent in Kazakhstan, the country eyes export it, Trend reports with reference to Kazakh media.

“The first batch of export is to be shipped within the next several days,” said Kanat Bozumbayev, the minister of Energy of Kazakhstan.

“The expected volume of RON-92 export fuel is to 60,000-70,000 tons and of RON-95 - 10,000-15,000 tons. Kyrgyzstan and Belarus, which are our partners in Eurasian Economic Union, expressed interest in our exporting oil and oil products,” the minister added.

He further stated that the RON-92 and RON-95 fuel manufacturing exceeds country’s consumption volume by 20-30 percent.

“This leads to decrease of petrol prices, which is observed across the country. The RON-92 price decreased by 6.9 percent and amounts to 146.7 tenge per liter, the RON 95/96 price decreased by 3.8 percent and equals to 168.6 tenge per liter, the RON-98 price decreased by 3.4 percent and stands at 185.9 tenge per liter. Furthermore, the price of summer diesel fuel decreased by one percent and amounts to 191.8 tenge per liter,” Bozumbayev said.

“During first five months of 2019 the increase of 13.8 percent is observed in manufacturing of petrol compared to the same period of last year. Similarly, the manufacturing of diesel fuel increased by 13.2 percent, of jet fuel by 298.6 percent,” the report said.
