The weighted average interest rates on loans in the national currency in Uzbekistan in April this year decreased by 2.8 percent, Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has published data on the weighted average rates of loans and deposits in commercial banks. The regulator also named the weighted average rates on preferential loans.
According to the data, the weighted average interest rate on loans in the national currency in April this year decreased by 2.8 percent compared to April 2020 and amounted to 21.3 percent.
Also, according to the regulator, the weighted average rate on loans in foreign currency decreased in April by 0.7 percent over the same period and amounted to 6.8 percent.
At the same time, the weighted average interest rate on all time deposits in foreign currency with maturity over one year fell by 0.8 percent to 4.3 percent over the year.
The average rate on all time deposits in national currency with maturity over one year also fell by 1.2 percent over the year and amounted to 18.1 percent in April this year.
In addition, the weighted average rate on concessional loans in national currency on all loans, on the contrary, increased by 2 percent and amounted to 11.1 percent in April this year.
