BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 25. The Money Supply Rate (М2) in Azerbaijan amounted to 29.56 billion manat ($17.36 billion) as of January 1, 2023, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
According to the bank, this figure increased by 5.69 billion manat ($3.3 billion) or 23.84 percent against the same period of 2021 (23.87 billion manat or $14.02 billion).
The cash money supply in circulation (M0) grew by 2.356 billion manat ($1.38 billion) or 21.54 percent year over year – from 10.94 billion manat ($6.4 billion) to 13.297 billion manat ($7.8 billion).
Meanwhile, the broad money supply (M3) has risen by 8.17 billion manat ($4.79 billion) or 23.6 percent reaching 42.8 billion manat ($25.1 billion) against 34.6 billion manat ($20.3 billion) a year earlier.
The transaction money (M1) edged up by 4.79 billion manat ($2.8 billion) or 23.3 percent year over year – from 20.57 billion manat ($12.08 billion) to 25.36 billion manat ($14.89 billion).
