BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. The Money Supply Rate (М2) in Azerbaijan amounted to 29 billion manat ($17.06 billion) as of March 1, 2023, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the bank, this figure increased by six billion manat ($3.5 billion) or 26.11 percent against the same period of 2021 (23 billion manat or $13.5 billion).
The cash money supply in circulation (M0) grew by 3.09 billion manat ($1.82 billion) or 29.54 percent year over year – from 10.48 billion manat ($6.16 billion) to 13.57 billion manat ($7.98 billion) as of March 1 this year.
Meanwhile, the broad money supply (M3) has risen by 7.8 billion manat ($4.59 billion) or 23.16 percent reaching 41.7 billion manat ($24.5 billion) against 33.8 billion manat ($19.8 billion) a year earlier.
The transaction money (M1) edged up by 5.04 billion manat ($2.96 billion) or 25.72 percent year over year – from 19.6 billion manat ($11.5 billion) to 24.68 billion manat ($14.52 billion).
