BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 4. The Money Supply Rate (М2) increased in Azerbaijan by 4.9 billion manat ($2.8 billion), or 19.7 percent as of July 1, 2023 compared to the same period last year, from 26.16 billion manat ($15.39 billion) to 31.4 billion manat ($18.4 billion), Trend reports.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), the cash supply in circulation (M0) increased by 2.8 billion manat or $1.6 billion (24.1 percent), over the year increasing from 11.7 billion manat ($6.8 billion) to 14.5 billion manat ($8.5 billion), while the broad money supply (M3) rose by 2.9 billion manat or $1.7 billion (7.7 percent) to 41.2 billion manat ($24.2 billion) against 38.29 billion manat ($22.5 billion) a year earlier.
The transaction money (M1) per year increased by 4.05 billion manat or $2.38 billion (18 percent), growing from 22.5 billion manat ($13.2 billion) to 26.6 billion manat ($15.6 billion).
