BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 4. Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are planning a joint launch of artificial satellites to study and analyze data, Trend reports.

On September 2-3, 2024, a delegation from the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan visited Astana to participate in the "Ministerial Conference on Digital Inclusion and Transformation in Asia and the Pacific," organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

As part of the event, Minister Sherzod Shermatov met with the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, Zhaslan Madiyev.

The parties discussed prospects for cooperation, focusing particularly on digital skills training, the state of regional cooperation in digital inclusion and transformation, and opportunities to strengthen it.

In addition, they discussed developing joint regional cooperation plans to accelerate digital innovation.

The possibility of cooperation between the two countries in launching joint constellations of artificial satellites for studying and analyzing data was also discussed, with proposals to be prepared by the end of this year.
