Chairman of the Majilis (lower chamber) of the Kazakh Parliament Nurlan Nigmatulin and Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Cemil Cicek discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries at the meeting on Thursday, Kazakh Majilis reported.
"During the meeting the sides discussed a wide range of issues, stressing the strategic character of cooperation between the two countries," Majilis said.
Cicek stressed that regular Kazakh-Turkish meetings at various levels serve to further development of constructive dialogue.
Nigmatulin, in turn, said that in the first six months of 2012, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Turkey reached $2.5 billion, Turkish Zaman newspaper reported.
