Mayor of Kazakhstan’s Almaty city Bakhytzhan Sagintayev held an offsite meeting with members of the Regional Coordination Council, during which he got acquainted with the pace of implementation of projects in the Almaty Industrial Zone, Trend reports referring to Kazinform.
Two enterprises for the production of autoclaved aerated concrete are already being launched in the industrial zone - GSG Vysotnik LLP and SK Rakhat LLP. Both companies are completing finishing and commissioning works. More than 2 billion tenge ($4.7 million) has been invested in projects, it’s planned to open more than 165 jobs.
The implementation of these projects will meet the demand of construction companies in Almaty city and the Almaty region in high-quality aerated concrete blocks.
More than 10 hectares in the industrial zone have been allotted to Valtherm LLP, which is building the first plant in Kazakhstan for the production of aluminum and bimetallic radiators by high-pressure casting. The project worth 11.6 billion tenge ($27 million) is unique, and the products are in demand both in Kazakhstan and in neighboring countries.
The construction and installation work of the first stage of the production facility has been completed; currently, external networks are being laid and the territory is being landscaped. The launch of production with the opening of 430 jobs is scheduled for September 2021. The enterprise will be in demand for foundry specialists and chemists-technologists.
In July, the production of medical diagnostic test systems of Kaz-Dia-Test LLP worth 512 million tenge ($1.19 million) will start with the opening of 65 jobs. The company plans to produce rapid tests for infectious and cancer diseases, as well as develop the first domestic, serial industrial production of culture media. To date, the construction and installation work on the construction of the production building has been completed, and the premises are being finished.
Besides, Sagintayev got acquainted with the progress of construction of new facilities in the chemical, construction and machine-building industries BSF LLP, ZhBI Garant LLP, Alem Tynysy LLP, City Stone LLP, Elektrobar LLP, Teplostil LLP ". The total amount of investment projects is 3.8 billion tenge ($8.9 million), and 340 jobs will be opened at the enterprises.
The participants of the Almaty Industrial Zone are 54 companies with projects for 211.7 billion tenge ($490 million) with the opening of 6,200 jobs. To date, 14 projects have been implemented (BRB APK, Almapack, DOC Co.LTD, TOKYO ROPE ALMATY, KMK Investment - the first and second stages, KazTigerTape, ENKO, ASSET, Tekhnovid, MPZ Bijan, DorKhan-Almaty, ‘Almerek’, Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan) for a total amount of 75 billion tenge ($170 million) with the opening of 2,248 jobs.
By the end of 2021, it’s planned to launch 9 projects (SK Rakhat, GSG Vysotnik, Kaz-Dia-Test, CityStone, Alem Tynysy, Asia Steel Pipe Corporation, Electrobar, Valtherm, Technokont) for a total amount of 40.5 billion tenge ($94 million) with the opening of 823 jobs.
This year, it’s also planned to launch 5 industrial parks with the commissioning of 22,000 square meters of production area for SMEs in the amount of 2.3 billion tenge ($5.4 million) with the creation of 860 jobs. Until 2025, it’s expected to implement 28 projects in the Industrial Zone for a total investment of 93 billion tenge ($220 million) with the opening of more than 3,000 jobs.
