Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry and Huawei signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Kazakhstan, Trend reports referring to the ministry.
The document is aimed at extending cooperation in the field of ICT, namely the development of digitalization of various sectors of the economy, strengthening information and communication infrastructure, and increasing the research potential of Kazakhstan.
The MoU envisages cooperation between the parties in the following areas:
- Taking measures to jointly develop an ultra-fast, comprehensive and affordable national broadband network, especially for the population in remote areas, as well as accelerate the deployment of next-generation communications and platform solutions for the digitalization of economic sectors;
- Implementation of actions for the joint development of the communication infrastructure of the Digital Silk Road using new technologies and solutions;
- Educational activities, including educational modules, ICT talent development programs, scientific consulting and exchange of experience in the field of training specialists;
The signed memorandum will favor improving mechanisms of information and communication infrastructure, developing the telecommunications sector at the level of Kazakhstan and in the context of regions and sectors of the economy.
Besides, it will allow exchanging data for scientific and educational researches in order to develop the digital economy of the country.
