BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 19. Kazakhstan will commission 734 projects in the field of manufacturing industry by 2025, which will create around 134,000 jobs, Iran Sharkhan, Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development, said, Trend reports, citing the press service of the Ministry.
Some 61,000 of these job openings will be based in rural areas, while 13,000 will be located in single-industry towns.
According to the vice minister, at full capacity, the production volumes of the projects will amount to about 10.4 trillion Kazakh tenge ($22.4 billion).
Sharkhan also noted that Kazakhstan recorded a 3.4 percent increase in the volume of production of the manufacturing industry. The export of processed products from January through October 2022 increased by 34.9 percent and reached 21.7 billion Kazakh tenge ($46.8 million).
Earlier, Kazakhstan adopted the Law on Industrial Policy. The key objective of the law is to achieve the sustainable development of the manufacturing industry by increasing the production of competitive, high-tech, export-oriented products and moving away from the raw material development model.
