BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 10. Kyrgyzstan generated 13.8 billion kilowatt-hour (kWh) of electricity from January through December 2022, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
Electricity production last year is 9 percent less than in 2021 (15.1 billion kWh). The largest amount of electricity (11.5 billion kWh) was generated in Jalal-Abad region of the country, which is a decrease of 9 percent over 12.6 billion kWh in 2021.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan exported 457 million kWh of electricity in 2022, which is a decrease of 17 percent over 2021 (547 million kWh).
The country imported 2.8 billion kWh of electricity in 2022, which is an increase of 62 percent compared to the indicators of 2021 (1.6 billion kWh).
