BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28. Tajikistan imported plastic, rubber and products thereof from Austria for 14,021 euro in February 2023, the source at the Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
European statistics show that the figure is by 4 times or 10,554 euros more than in January 2023 (3,467 euros).
In total, Austria supplied Tajikistan with plastic, rubber, and articles of thereof for 17,488 euros from January through February 2023.
Back in 2022, Tajikistan imported from Austria this type of product for 347,841 euros, which is more than a twofold increase over 163,537 euros in 2021, the statistics said.
As Eurostat informs, overall, Tajikistan purchased from Austria goods for 629,915 euros in February 2023 and 515,425 euros in January 2023.
Meanwhile, Austria exported to Tajikistan goods for 13.2 million euros in 2022, which is 22 percent or 2.3 million euros more than in 2022 (10.8 million euros).
Overall, Tajikistan imported goods from EU countries for 31.6 million euros in February 2023 and for 24.7 million euros in January 2023.
Tajikistan’s imports from EU countries amounted to 260.6 million euros in 2022, which is 10 percent more than in 2021 (237.8 million euros).
