Turkmenistan has increased oil and oil products manufacturing for the first nine months of 2014, compared to the same period of last year, the Turkmen State Statistics Committee said in a report.
The report said the growth rates of oil production amounted to 102.2 percent, gasoline - 102.4 percent, diesel fuel - 101.5 percent, kerosene - 101.4 percent, lubricants - 111.4 percent, petroleum bitumen - 126.4 percent, polypropylene - 111 percent.
Turkmenistan plans to increase the capacity of the oil refining industry up to 20 million metric tons of oil by 2020, to 22 million metric tons by 2025 and up to 30 million metric tons by 2030.
The country currently produces about 10 million metric tons of oil, most of which is processed locally.
