BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 6. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with US Ambassador to Turkmenistan Matthew Steven Klimow, Trend reports citing the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.
At the meeting, the sides discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the US, noting the prospects for mutually beneficial partnership in a number of areas.
Meredov highly appreciated the activities of the US Ambassador's Fund for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, which makes a valuable contribution to the conservation of the unique historical legacy of Turkmenistan.
Furthermore, noting the importance of further strengthening political and diplomatic cooperation, the interlocutors also considered a number of security projects.
Following the meeting, the participants noted the effectiveness of the mechanism of political consultations between the two countries and expressed their readiness to expand them.
