BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. Entrepreneurs from Türkiye and Afghanistan purchased gasoline from Turkmen production during trading on March 20 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the exchange.
Businessmen from Türkiye and Afghanistan purchased 30,000 tons of gasoline on the exchange at a price of $439.25 per ton. The total amount of the transactions was $13.1 million.
At the same time, according to the exchange, on March 23, representatives of the business community from Afghanistan purchased 4,500 tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the amount of $1.3 million.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
For example, the Turkmenbashi Oil Processing Complex located in the Balkan region in the west of Turkmenistan produced over 1.5 million tons of gasoline in 2022, exceeding the plan by 13.7 percent.
