BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. Representatives of the Turkmendenizderyayollary Agency (Turkmen State Service of Maritime and River Transportation) and the Bureau Veritas company agreed to expand cooperation in the field of ship classification, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, the Turkmen side offered Bureau Veritas to open a branch in Turkmenistan, and the classification society announced its readiness to attract its representatives from Turkey and the UAE to the country to increase the range of services provided.
Furthermore, during the visit to Turkmenistan, representatives of the company held meetings at the Balkan shipyard and ship repair plant and the “Marine Merchant Fleet” CJSC, where they discussed possible directions for further development of cooperation.
Bureau Veritas is one of 11 major classification societies that specialize in the prevention of marine pollution, as well as the implementation of technical supervision of the construction of ships, and the provision of international certification services.
