BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 8. Turkmenistan has increased electricity production from January through April 2023, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Baymyrat Annamamedov at a government meeting held on May 4, 2023.
According to him, during the reporting period, the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan fulfilled the plan for the production of products, works performed and services rendered by 108.5 percent
Furthermore, Annamamedov noted that the growth rate of electricity production in the country for the first four months of this year amounted to 102.4 percent.
Turkmenistan is actively integrating into the unified energy system of Central Asia. It is expected that by 2025 Turkmenistan will contribute to the construction of new power plants, transmission lines, modern transformer substations, and distribution facilities.
