BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. Turkmenistan's real GDP growth in the oil sector in 2023 is projected at 2.9 percent, and in the non-oil sector - 2.2 percent, Trend reports, citing the latest Regional Economic Outlook from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
According to the IMF, Turkmenistan's GDP growth in the non-oil sector for 2024 is projected at 2.3 percent, and in the oil sector - 1.2 percent.
Furthermore, the IMF added that Turkmenistan's real GDP growth in the non-oil sector in 2022 amounted to 2.3 percent, in 2021 amounted to 1.7 percent, and in 2020 it amounted to -1.8 percent.
At the same time, the real GDP growth of Turkmenistan in the oil sector in 2022 amounted to -0.6 percent, in 2021 it showed 20.1 percent, and in 2020 it amounted to -8.8 percent.
