ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 15. Representatives of the Parliament of Turkmenistan and the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea have discussed the prospects of trade and economic cooperation, Trend reports via Turkmenistan's official media.
According to the information, the discussions were held during the Turkmen-Korean consultative meeting within the framework of the second meeting of the Presidents of the Parliaments of the Central Asian states and the Republic of Korea in the format “C5+1”.
The information indicates that transportation, energy, high technologies, science, education, health care, tourism, as well as climate change and environmental protection, were among the spheres of cooperation discussed.
The sides noted that regular meetings contribute to the strengthening of interstate relations, giving a new impetus to the development of cooperation.
Moreover, special attention was paid to inter-parliamentary ties, which are a key element of interaction between the countries.
