Uzbekistan from January through June 2021 exported to Azerbaijan textile products worth $9.1 million, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the Committee, Uzbekistan in 6M2021 exported textile products worth $1.3 billion to 57 foreign countries, which is $523.2 million more than in the same period in 2020.
It is reported that the main export of textile products from Uzbekistan for six months of 2021 fell to Russia - $434.5 million and China - $337.8 million.
At the same time, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey imported textile products worth $177.7 million and $176 million, respectively.
In addition, Poland imported textile products worth $30.6 million, Pakistan - $30.5 million, Ukraine - $22.4 million, Iran - $21.7 million, Kazakhstan - $21.6 million, Egypt - $13.9 million, Italy - $12.9 million and Azerbaijan - $9.1 million.
Earlier the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan reported that the volume of foreign trade between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan decreased by 7 percent in the first 5 months of 2021, compared to the same period of 2020.
According to the ministry, the foreign trade surplus in the reporting period amounted to $11.8 million.
“From January through May of this year, exports to Azerbaijan decreased by 11.8 percent compared to the same period of 2020. In the structure of exports, textile products accounted for 28.5 percent, copper products - 17.1 percent, food products - 17.1 percent, air conditioners and refrigeration units - 12.7 percent, monitors and projectors - 7.7 percent. Since early 2021, there has been no import of machinery and technological equipment from Azerbaijan,” the ministry said.
