BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 6. The volume of services provided to the population of Uzbekistan from January through April 2022 amounted to 101.8 trillion soums ($9.2 billion), which is an increase of 24.3 percent compared to the same period last year (81.9 trillion soums or $7.4 billion), Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.

According to the committee, in the total volume of services provided, the share of financial services amounted to 25 percent, trade - 24.7 percent, transport – 21.4 percent, communications and information - 6.2 percent, and education - 3.9 percent.

The volume of communication and information services in this period amounted to 6.3 trillion soums ($575.1 million), transport services – 21.8 trillion soums ($1.9 billion), trade services – 25.1 trillion soums ($2.3 billion), financial services – 25.4 trillion soums ($2.3 billion).

From January through April 2022, the largest volume of services was provided to residents of Tashkent city, as well as the Tashkent region, the smallest volume was provided to residents of the Syrdarya region.

During this period, the volume of services provided per capita amounted to 2.9 million soums ($261.5).
