Iran has established a mass production of antibacterial threads that prevent skin diseases, Fars news agency reported.
Iranian experts use nanoparts for creation of threads, which reportedly are able to prevent three kinds of skin diseases.
Such production is the first of its kind created in Middle East. Iran first presented this technology at the Iran Nano 2012 Exhibition in early October.
Antibacterial nylon threads have applications in clothes and textile.
Such threads are mostly used in the production of underwear due to their desirable mechanical properties and the fact that they are harmless to human body.
Among the advantages of the application of antibacterial polyamide threads in clothes, mention can be made of the ability to eliminate harmful bacteria, reduce the unpleasant smell caused by the body's secretion, high durability and the conservation of antibacterial properties.
According to Fars, Iranian experts have been involved in using this technology for 4 years, and this year were able to launch the mass production of such antibacterial threads in the country.
