The number of visitors from Turkmenistan traveling to Georgia in February 2022 totaled 110 people, which is a decrease of 3.5 percent, compared to January 2022 (114), Trend reports via Georgian National Tourism Administration.

The same figure also decreased by 91.2 percent, compared to February 2020 (1,247), and by 85.1 percent, compared to the same month of 2019 (736), before the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the number of visitors from Turkmenistan traveling to Georgia in the reporting period increased 18 times, compared to the same period of 2021 (6).

At the same time, the number of visitors from Turkmenistan traveling to Georgia from January through December 2021 amounted to 765 visitors - a decrease of 77.7 percent, compared to 3,423 people over 2020.

The same figure decreased by 94.4 percent in 2021, compared to 2019, when 13,708 people visited Georgia from Turkmenistan.

Meanwhile, the total number of international visitors to Georgia in February 2022 totaled 165,626 people, which is an increase of 293.6 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 (42,075).

However, the same figure decreased by 64.5 percent, compared to the reporting period of 2020 (466,409), and by 64.7 percent, compared to February 2019 (469,545).
