The number of visitors from Uzbekistan traveling to Georgia in February 2022 totaled 2,723 people, which is an increase of 116.8 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 (1,256), Trend reports via Georgian National Tourism Administration.
The same figure also increased by 146.6 percent, compared to 1,104 visitors in February 2020, and by 55 percent, compared to 1,757 visitors over the same month of 2019 (before the COVID-19 pandemic).
However, the number of visitors from Uzbekistan to Georgia in the reporting period of 2022 decreased by 18.4 percent, compared to January 2022 (3,339).
Thus, Uzbekistan ranked 12 among TOP-15 main countries of origin for people arriving in Georgia in January 2022. Turkey ranked first on the list with 29,606 visitors, followed by Russia (20,876), and Armenia (17,366).
Meanwhile, the total number of international visitors to Georgia in February 2022 totaled 165,626 people, which is an increase of 293.6 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 (42,075).
