Opening Of Russia’s Representative In Sokhumi To Be Serious Infringement Of Georgia's Sovereignty – Georgian Foreign Minister

Ekaterine Tkeshelashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, evaluates Russia's step regarding the opening of its representative office in Sokhumi, the breakaway region of Abkhazia, as serious infringement of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, reported PNA.

"In this case we will have the corresponding reaction", Tkeshelashvili stated.

According to the Russian media sources, the Russian foreign ministry plans to open its representative office in Sokhumi; the leadership of the breakaway region do not exclude that due to recent developments a solemn ceremony of opening had been postponed.

According to preliminarily information, Yuri Luzhkov, Mayor of Moscow, will attend the opening ceremony.
