Actress Sandra Bullock was granted a permanent restraining order Friday against a man accused of stalking the Oscar-winning actress since 2003, dpa reported.
Thomas James Weldon, 41, was first ordered to stay away from the 45-year-old actress in 2003 but that order expired in 2009. He showed up at a hospital in Wyoming in June suffering from exhaustion and told staff that he had driven cross-country to see Bullock at a home she keeps in the state.
Bullock was issued a temporary restraining order against Weldon last month and the permanent order issued Friday requires him to stay away from Bullock and refrain from trying to contact her for the next three years.
The order also covers Louis Bardo Bullock, a baby boy who the actress is in the process of adopting, and the children of ex-husband Jesse James.
