Volume of cargo transshipment in Turkish Ambarli port revealed

Cargo transshipment at the Port of Ambarli in Istanbul amounted to 14.8 million tons from January through September of 2020, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

During the specified period in the port of Ambarli, vessels under the flag of Turkey handled over 2 million tons, and vessels under the flags of other countries – 1.3 million tons of cargo.

"From January through September of 2020, the volume of transit traffic through the port of Ambarli amounted to 6.9 million tons of cargo," the ministry said.

In the reporting period, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 270.6 million tons.

From January through September of 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment by vessels under the flag of Turkey amounted to 21.7 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey by vessels flying the flags of their countries amounted to over 10 million tons, and under the flags of other countries - 238.8 million tons from January through September of 2020.

During this period, 54.5 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey.

In September 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 31.2 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment by vessels under the flag of Turkey amounted to 2.8 million tons in September 2020.

The volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey by vessels flying the flags of their countries amounted to over 1 million tons, and under the flags of other countries - 27.4 million tons.

According to the ministry, in September 2020, 6.2 million tons of cargo were transported through the ports of Turkey in transit.
