Today, the new Summit TV television channel started broadcasting in Kazakhstan.

The channel has been created on the basis of the Caspionet first national satellite channel to cover the preparations and holding of the OSCE summit in Astana.

The OSCE summit in Astana will be held on Dec.1-2.

The channel will broadcast all day in English. The main content in the coming days will be news from the summit.

About 100 million viewers - residents of Europe, Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa - can watch the channel. The project's main feature will be a special news bulletin, in which TV host Jonathan Newell will talk about the outcome of each day of the summit. The channel will also broadcast the show, "Interview of the Day."

"In addition to operative newscasts, viewers will be able to see also new informative and entertainment programs, and the best classical and pop music concerts in the evenings, as well as feature films in English," the channel said in a press release. "It is also planned to show 60 documentaries about Kazakhstan."

In addition, a series of image reels about Kazakhstan has been prepared especially for the news channel, which incude bright graphics, a stylish logo and other designs.

"An updated version of the website www.caspionet.kz has been also launched today. Now, users can watch the channel online," Caspionet said.
