The incumbent Kazakh president's son-in-law and the main candidate for the post of Kazakh president according to experts, Timur Kulibayev, said he did not want to give up business for politics, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.

"A political process is developing in our country. I do not exclude that some businessmen will want to participate more actively in the country's political life. Business representatives are an active group of the population. They can take responsibility and are ready to move forward. But I believe that it is incorrect to combine these two spheres. A man should deal either with politics, or with business," Kulibayev said.

Earlier Mr Kulibayev has repeatedly said he is not interested in politics.

Mr Kulibayev heads Kazakhstan's Association of Oil, Gas and Energy Sector Organizations KAZENERGY and Kazakh National Economic Chamber Atameken Union.
