Deputy head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization for research and training Mohammad Reza Dehshiri told a press conference that ICRO President Mohammad Bagher Khorramshad will inaugurate the two-day conference tomorrow, IRNA reported.
He said that a message from the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will be presented to the Conference.
The Conference will be held at Foreign Ministry Institute for Political and International Studies.
Dehshiri said that ICRO center of Inter-religions dialogue hosts thinkers from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Turkey, South Korea, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, The Philippines, Thailand, Australia, Kuwait, Indonesia, Russia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Lebanon and China.
"Two deputy parliament speakers, Secretary for Asian Parliaments and Secretary for world religions for peace are among participants, " Dehshiri added.
He noted of the theme of the first day of the Conference as "Common Cultural bases and Asian Convergence" and "Asian Nations Cultural Links", while the participants will talk about "Asian nations Social Links and Globalizations" and "Civilizational Convergence of Asia" on second day.
Describing "Creation of Asian Convergence" as of Iran's foreign policy, ICRO Deputy head for research and training said the Conference is being held based on article 16 of the resolution of the last Asian Parliaments meeting in Damascus, Syria 2010.
