Iranian, Turkish diplomats discuss bilateral ties, regional issues

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacific Affairs Seyyed Abbas Araqchi and his Turkish counterpart Omar Onhun in a meeting in Ankara on Thursday discussed bilateral ties as well as regional and international developments, IRNA reported.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacific Affairs Seyyed Abbas Araqchi and his Turkish counterpart Omar Onhun in a meeting in Ankara on Thursday discussed bilateral ties as well as regional and international developments, IRNA reported.

During the meeting in Ankara today, Iranian Ambassador to Ankara Alireza Bigdeli was also present.

Araqchi is in Turkey at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart and within framework of rotating visits of the two countries deputy foreign ministers in advisory committee which is held every six months.

Upon his arrival at Ankara International Airport, Araqchi told IRNA that one of the topics of his talks with senior Turkish officials will be the Syrian crisis.

ˈAs regards Syriaˈs developments, several serious developments have taken place in the Muslim country and in the fight against terrorists and at international arena,ˈ the Iranian deputy foreign minister said.

Araqchi noted that at international arena there is increasing tendency towards providing solutions for putting an end to the crisis in Syria and many countries have considered this issue.
