Armenian citizen detained at border

An Armenian citizen was detained at the Azerbaijani border on 1 November 2005, the press service of the Azerbaijani State Frontier Service (SFS) told Trend.

The employees of the SFS detained 29 foreign citizens for possession of forged documents, 40 - absence of documents, 19 - absence of visa, 2 - use of other’s documents. Besides, the frontier guards arrested 3 Azerbaiojanis and Afgans, 2 Uzbeks, 1 Turk and 1 Georgian.

SFS arrested 48 people wanted for commission of crime. During the month the Azerbaijani frontier guard revealed 1 Kalashnikov sub-machine, 43 cartridges of hunting rifle, 23 shells, 5 chargers, and 2,853 kg of substance like opium and 97 grams of substance like heroine.
