A Ceremony in Honour of Ex-Azeri President's to Take Place in Ankara

A ceremony dedicated to anniversary of the death of the ex-President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev will take place in Ankara on 9 December, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey, Zakir Hashimov, exclusively informed Trend.

Organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkey in co-operation with the Marmara Fund (Turkey), the event will take place at the Sheraton Hotel, he said. The ceremony will bring together the students, members of the Azerbaijani diaspora, deputies of the Turkish Parliament, as well as ex-President of Turkey, Suleyman Demirel and Turkish scientist Ishan Dogramaji, who has been conferred the order named after Heydar Aliyev. In addition, the event will be attended by the students of the Political Academy and military students from Azerbaijan, who is educated in Turkey.

The Ambassador said that a delegation comprising of the Deputies of the Azerbaijani Parliament and representatives of the Executive Apparat of the President is also expected to arrive from Baku. The event will be broadcast live in Azerbaijan and several channels of Turkey.
