Kazakhstan boosts production of main precious metals year-on-year

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed silver in Kazakhstan has amounted to 1.03 million kg over 2020, which is 1.3 percent more than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, non-processed and semi-processed silver production amounted to 108,199 kg in Dec. 2020, which is 14.5 percent less than in Dec. 2019.

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed gold increased by 10.8 percent during the reporting months, having amounted to 118,104 kg (14,922 kg in Dec. 2020, increase by 59.6 percent compared to Dec. 2019).

Production of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide amounted to 1.6 million tons during the reporting period, which indicates a decrease of 0.5 percent compared to the same period of last year. The production volume of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide was 145,257 tons in Dec. 2020, which is 1.7 percent less than in Dec. 2019.

Manufacturing of non-processed refined lead amounted to 130,881 tons over the reporting period, which is 2.7 percent more than during the same period of 2019. The volume of non-processed refined lead produced in Dec. 2020 was 9,484 tons, which is 8.8 percent less than in Dec. 2019.

Production of non-processed zinc amounted to 318,793 tons, which is 0.1 percent more than during the same period of 2019 (25,470 tons in Dec. 2020, decrease by 8.9 percent compared to Dec. 2019).

As reported, the manufacturing of non-processed non-alloyed refined copper amounted to 480,816 tons, which is 1.8 percent more than during the same period of 2019 (38,233 tons in Dec. 2020, decrease by 3.4 percent compared to Dec. 2019).

Manufacturing of other non-ferrous metals and products from them amounted to 36,176 tons, which is 33.7 percent less than during the same period of 2019 (1,645 tons in Dec. 2020, decrease by 64.5 percent compared to Dec. 2019).
