As many as 3 industrial facilities were launched in the Yazd Province (central Iran) today on July 1, Trend reports citing Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.
According to the report, a plant on the production of steel ingots has been built on an area of 20,000 square meters in the province. In general, 12 trillion rials (about $286 million) have been spent on the plant. The plant can produce 400,000 tons of steel ingots per year and employs 240 people.
“In addition, a plant for the production of ceramics was built in Yazd Province on an area of 28,000 square meters. The plant cost 2.6 trillion rials (about $61.9 million). The plant can produce 4.3 million tons of ceramics per year and employs 251 people,” the report said.
As well as, a plant on the production of sponge iron pellets was built in an area of 22,000 square meters in the province. A total of 3.33 trillion rials (about $79.3 million) was spent on the plant. The plant can produce 600 tons of sponge iron pellets per year and employs 130 people, the report said.
As reported, 6 facilities have been put into operation in 4 provinces of Iran on July 1. In this regard, 35.6 trillion rials (about $ 848 million) were spent and 881 people were employed.
