Georgia records rise in housing prices in Tbilisi

Housing prices are rising in Georgian Tbilisi, while rents are falling, Trend reports via the TBC Capital.

According to the report, the price of real estate in August increased by 4.7 percent compared to 2019, while rental prices declined by 16.7 percent in the same period.

At the same time demand is growing in Didube, Isani, and Samgori districts.

As reported, the number of transactions exceeded the 2019 levels by 1.2 percent from January through August 2021.

"In total, the number of transactions in 2021 will exceed the 2019 levels by 3.8 percent. In 2021, the price will slightly exceed the 2019 level. Batumi is more affected by the pandemic. In terms of transactions, starting 2022 the sector in Batumi will grow faster than in Tbilisi," the report says.
