IRICA shares data on Iran’s trade turnover for autumn

Iran's foreign trade turnover amounted to 43.3 million tons worth about $27.2 billion for the autumn of the current Iranian year (September 23 through December 21, 2021), the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.

According to Latifi, the country’s foreign trade turnover this autumn increased by 25 percent in value, while decreasing by 9 percent in volume, compared to the same season of last Iranian year.

Latifi also added that Iran's trade for the autumn increased by 14 percent in value and 7 percent, in volume, compared to the summer of this Iranian year (June 22 through September 22, 2021).

The spokesman emphasized that Iran exported 32.3 million tons of goods worth $13.4 billion in autumn, which is an increase of 17 percent in value, compared to the same season of last Iranian year.

"In addition, Iran imported about 11 million tons of goods worth $13.8 billion within the mentioned season. Imports increased by 37 percent in value, compared to the same season of last Iranian year," he noted.

Iran's total exports for the first 9 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2021) amounted to 92.3 million tons worth $35.1 billion. The exports increased by 40 percent in value and 8 percent in volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Within nine months, Iran imported 30.1 million tons of goods worth $37 billion. Imports increased by 37 percent in value and 20 percent in volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
