BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by about 15 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 227,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 73,000 tons were loaded and about 154,000 tons were unloaded.

In addition, about 63,000 tons of cargo were exported and 150,000 tons were imported through the Amirabad port in the 6th month.

Within the 6th month, about 10,700 tons of cargo were loaded and 3,200 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.

Also, 312 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for other purposes during the 6th month.

"About 124,000 tons of essential products, 767 tons of metal products, 74,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 3,520 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port in the 6th month of the current Iranian year," the statistics said.

Moreover, 9,560 tons of chemicals, 165 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 25 tons of small and assorted goods, 433 tons of container products, about 15,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port over the mentioned month.

In general, about 13.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 6th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, about 6.67 million tons were loaded and about 6.5 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
