The final voting results can be declared within 22 days, CEC member Jenish Akmatov told KyrTAG on Sunday.

"By law, the final result of a vote should be brought within 22 days after the vote. However, every two hours the data will be updated on the number of voters who voted on election day. Immediately after the vote counting begins. Further details will be sealed in safe-packages and sent to the CEC. The counting of votes may take from two to five days", - said Jenish Akmatov.

"If during the counting of votes, the number of votes of voters exceeds the number of allocated ballots, all the results of the vote at this polling station will be void," - added the deputy chairman of the CEC Gulnara Dzhurabayeva.

President of Kyrgyzstan is elected for 6 years by direct and secret ballot, and his tenure is limited to one term.

The candidate who receives a vote of 50% +1 is elected. If no candidate wins the required number of votes, the two candidates who took the highest places, participate in the second round, held not earlier than two weeks after the official date of the election.
